Title:
INK JET RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS58131071
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of an accident such as damage of ink jet head due to a change in a volume of ink, by a method wherein a variable wall, being deformed corresponding to an ink quantity in an ink jet head, is mounted to an ink feed chamber.

CONSTITUTION: An ink feed chamber 31 is formed with a substrate 30 and a flexible film 32 adhered to the substrate 30, and the flexible film 32 is provided with a bagform part 32a. A volume V0 occupied by the bagform part is set so that it meets a formula, where V1 is an ink volume in a jet head, (r) is a volume expansion coeffcient of ink liquid, Δt is an external environment temperature change, and V2 is a volume of ink evaporated from the inside of the jet head. This prevents damage of the jet head even if a change in an ink volume is produced due to an environment temperature change and evaporation of ink. Finally, a variable wall may be installed to a place other than the ink feed chamber 31.
