PURPOSE: To obtain sufficient power of an engine, by providing a regulator, in which the setting concentration of exhaust smoke is adjusted in accordance with an accelerating condition of the engine, and supplying a required quantity of fuel to the engine at its acceleration.
CONSTITUTION: A regulator 67, comprising a reference value correcting circuit 68, adjusting reference voltage, and an accelerated condition detector 69, detecting an accelerated condition from a throttle opening, is provided to a reference voltage generator 63, showing the setting concentration of exhaust smoke, in a control circuit 61. The accelerated condition detector 69 detects the accelerated condition, then the reference value correcting circuit 68 adjusts the reference voltage in such a manner as to increase the setting concentration of exhaust smoke, further a maximum injection quantity controller 82 operates to supply a sufficient quantity of fuel to an engine, and sufficient power of the engine can be obtained when the engine is accelerated.
