Abstract:
Disclosed is a high-density particle to which a target substance can be bound, wherein the surface of the particle main body is roughened.  The particle is characterized in that a substance or functional group to which a target substance can be bound is immobilized on the surface of the particle main body, and the specific surface area of the particle is 1.4-100 times the specific surface area of a spherical particle having the same diameter and the same density as the particle of the invention.  In the particle of the invention, the accumulated pore volume [cm3] of pores having a radium not less than 20 nm per unit surface area [cm2] is not less than 1 × 10-6 [cm3/cm2].
