Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide new compds. useful as antibacterial agents and feed additives.
CONSTITUTION: The compds. has formula I (where A is N or C-R14; R1 is 1-4C alkyl, 3-6C cycloalkyl, phenyl or the like; R2 is H or crosslink for ring formation linked with R1; R3 is H or O-R11; R4 is H, amino or the like; R5 is H, halogen or methyl; R6 is H, 1-4C alkyloxycarbonyl or the like; R7-R10 are each H, methyl or the like; R11 is 1-4C alkyl or the like; R14 is H, halogen, methyl or the like), for example 7-(8-azabicyclo[4.3.0]none-2-ene-8-yl)-1-cyclopropyl-6,8-difluoro-1,4- dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinoline carboxylic acid. The compds. of formula I are obtained by reacting the compds. of formula II (X is halogen) with the compds. of formula III, optionally in the presence of an acid coupling agent (e.g. 1,4- diazabicyclo[2.2.0]octane) in a solvent (e.g. acetonitrile), at 20-200°C.
