Abstract:
To provide an abnormality detection device for a power apparatus capable of preventing the power apparatus from being burnt by a defective contact in a connector even when the current consumption of a load in the power apparatus is high.
This abnormality detection device comprises a current consumption detector 16 for detecting power consumption of the power apparatus 12, and a storage element 18 for previously storing current consumption in a normal drive condition. If the value stored in the storage element 18 is deviated from the detected current value at the time of driving the power apparatus 12, a microcomputer 17 is arranged to determine that it has been caused by a defective contact in the connector 13.
