Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve, efficiency in abrading, washing, or the like in the case an abrasive roller is used in an abrading machine, washing machine, or the like whose drive-motor output is small, with less load on them, by using a single bandlike nonwoven-fabric member as an abrasive and by helically wrapping it round a support from its one end to the other. SOLUTION: An abrasive roller 10 comprises a hollow roll 1. As the material of the roll 1, phenolic thermoset resin is used taking strength and weight into account. A single nonwoven-fabric abrasive 4 in the form of a band is helically wrapped round the periphery of the body of the roll 1. Both ends of the abrasive 4 are inserted into cut made in the roll 1 and locked into them. Beneath the abrasive 4, a bandlike face fastener, which is equal in size to it and firmly fixed to the periphery of the body of the roll 1, exists.
