The absorbent article includes: an absorbent body; a top sheet which is at least partially made of a liquid-permeable material and arranged to cover the front surface of the absorbent body; and a back sheet which is made of a liquid-nonpermeable material and arranged to cover the rear surface of the absorbent body. At least a pair of three-dimensional gathers is arranged along the both longitudinal-direction sides of the absorbent body. A water-repellent sheet is arranged in the absorbent article, where the distal ends of the pair of three-dimensional gathers are connected to areas at the front end of the absorbent article.
