Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent foreign substances from adhering to a safety valve, and prevent a protective portion from being removed from a case while exhausting gas when an internal pressure reaches a predetermined level.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 10 of the present invention includes: a cell case 11 receiving a power generation element 20 and having a safety valve 15 capable of exhausting gas when an internal pressure increases; and a sealing body 40 including a protective portion 41 that covers the safety valve 15 and fixed to the cell case 11. The sealing body 40 is configured to have a slit 43 formed therein. By the configuration, a protective portion 41 can be easily broken by the slit 43, so that gas can be exhausted from the safety valve 15 when an internal pressure in the cell case 11 reaches a predetermined pressure. Accordingly, the protective portion 41 prevents foreign substances from adhering to the safety valve 15, and the protective portion 41 can be prevented from being removed from the cell case 11 while gas is exhausted when an internal pressure reaches a predetermined pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
