To provide an acetate processed yarn which has the improved characteristic dry and refreshing touch of acetate yarns and further has an excellent process-passing property and excellent yarn shape stability, and to provide a method for producing the same.
This processed yarn is obtained by alternately forming multiply wound portions and midway portions. The multiply wound portions are formed by triply winding a yarn B around a yarn A. The midway portions are formed by singly winding the yarn A around the yarn B to express a twisted wall shape. The yarn A includes an acetate multi-filament yarn. The apparent thickness of the midway portions is 1.5 to 4 times that of the multiply wound portions, and the average length of the midway portions is 1.5 to 8 times that of the multiply wound portions.
