PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically active piperidine derivative which is excellent in antihistaminic activity and antiallergic activity, has little hygroscopicity and is excellent in physicochemical stability, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: This invention relates to benzenesulfonic acid salt of (S)-4-[4-[(4-chlorophenyl)(2-pyridyl)methoxy]piperidino]butanoic acid represented by formula (I).
