Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active magnetic regenerator and a magnetic heat pump capable of improving heat exchange efficiency between a magnetocaloric effect material and a heat transport medium while suppressing increase of drive energy.SOLUTION: A heat transport medium 23 is solid. The solid is used as the heat transport medium 23, and thereby, a heat transfer coefficient is increased one digit to two digits compared to the case where the heat transport medium 23 is fluid. Accordingly, heat exchange efficiency is improved, and output is increased. At the same time, when the solid heat transport medium 23 is reciprocated, a phenomenon of pressure loss does not exist, which is different from the case where the fluid is used, and an increase ratio of drive energy is smaller than when the fluid is used. Thus, AMR (Active Magnetic Refrigeration) cycle efficiency can be improved by using the solid heat transport medium 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
