Abstract:
To provide an actuator of a variable compression ratio mechanism for an internal combustion engine suppressed in enlargement of a housing.SOLUTION: An actuator of a variable compression ratio mechanism for an internal combustion engine has: an electric motor varying a variable compression ratio mechanism by rotation of a motor shaft; a housing having an electric motor mounting portion on which the electric motor is mounted, and a through hole for communicating the inside and the outside; a detected portion disposed on the motor shaft; and a rotation angle sensor having a sensor main body disposed inside the housing and having a detection portion for detecting rotation of the detected portion, and a sensor connector extended from the sensor main body to a radial outer part of the rotation shaft of the motor shaft, and projecting to the outside from the inside of the housing through the through hole at least at its tip.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
