A control circuit 50 performs learning for controlling a coefficient of a filter 30 so as to eliminate an error ei between a learning pattern di from a blind estimating part 60 for directly demodulating a reception signal and an output yi of an adaptive equalizer from a variable filter 30 for equalizing the reception signal. The output yi of the adaptive equalizer is outputted with data obtained in such a manner that an identification decision circuit 40 identifies and decides 1 and 0 as a modulated waveform. An equalized waveform monitoring circuit 70 monitors an equalized waveform yi, outputs the equalized waveform yi as a tracking mode to a switching part 102 when the equalized waveform yi reaches set equalized quality, and learns a demodulated waveform from the identification decision circuit 40 as a learning pattern di in the tracking mode. Since the bland estimating part 60 directly demodulates the reception signal, the bland estimating part 60 can configure a simple algorithm and flexibly correspond even to change of modulation methods.
