Title:
ADAPTIVE EQUALIZING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3548203
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable an equalizer to equalize a received signal consisting of 2B1Q encoded multilevel signals S(-3), S(-1), S(+1) and S(+3) corresponding to prescribed signal levels -3, -1, -1 and -3.
CONSTITUTION: This equalizer is provided with a gain device 107 having a variable gain, filter 111 having a variable pole and zero, and processor 119. The processor samples the equalized signal S(+3) and adjusts the equalizer by adjusting the gain, pole and zero so that the average value of equalized signal S(+3) can be practically equal with +3V and the variance of equalized signal S(+3) can be minimized.
