Abstract:
To provide an additional member pasting device that supplies and pastes additional members such as cheesecloth, which can easily retrofitted to a bookbinding machine.SOLUTION: The additional member pasting device includes: a roll storage unit 3 that stores a roll 2 of a continuous sheet-like additional member Q; an unwinding unit 5 that unwinds the additional member from the roll storage unit to a cutting station 4; a cutting unit 8 that is provided on the cutting station and cuts the additional member according to the size of a book body B and forms a strip-shaped additional member; a gripper 12 that supports and holds the underside of the strip-shaped additional member and moves between the retreat position inside a frame 52 and the advance position outside the frame and moves between the advance position and the elevated position above the advance position; and a hand-over unit 23 that hands the strip-shaped additional member from the cutting station over to the gripper in the retreat position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
