Abstract:

To provide a self-ligation type orthodontic bracket overcoming the defect of a conventional technique using a spring force.

The self-ligation type orthodontic bracket is designed to connect an archwire to teeth, and has a bracket body (12), a ligation sliding member (16) related to a bracket body by making it moveable between an opened position and a blocked position and having the rear, the front, and a through-hole (58) facing the teeth, an elastic engagement member (18) capable of restraining the movement of the ligation sliding member, and a tool (182) capable of moving the ligation sliding member from the blocked position to the opened position when the shoulder portion butts against the part of the ligation sliding member which is located around the through-hole.
