Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Ag-Si electrical contact material which can improve conductivity even when the content of Si is increased.SOLUTION: An Ag-Si electrical contact material 1 according to the present invention has an Ag phase 2, and an Si phase 3 dispersed in the Ag phase 2. In the Ag-Si electrical contact material 1 having such a structure, the Si phase 3 comprises an impurity element for turning the Si phase 3 into a semiconductor, and the content of the impurity element in the Si phase 3 is 1 ppm or more and 50,000 ppm or less.
