Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an air bag cover for a vehicle, which secures good strength of hinge even in the low temp. range and can perform the opening operation certainly.
CONSTITUTION: An air bag cover 21 for car is provided with a lid 21a opened through tearing by a bag spread from the body of an air bag device as enclosing over the body of air bag device where a core layer 23 made of a hard resin and a skin layer 22 made of a soft resin are provided, wherein the lid 21a has a hinge 24 and a tearing part 26 which is torn open by the pressure given when the bag is spread, and the tearing part 26 is formed by providing a groove 23f in the core layer 23. The hinge part 24 is configured so that groove 23f and hinge hole 22a are provided in the core layer 23 alternately along the hinge line 22b, and part of the skin layer 22 laminated on the front surface of the core layer 23 is turned around to the rear surface of the core layer 23 through the hinge hole 22a so that a turn-around part 22c is formed.
