Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain fouling of a filter element by an oil mist contained in blow-by gas, smoothly introduce fresh air into an internal combustion engine, reduce the number of part items, and facilitate manufacture.
SOLUTION: In an air cleaner 2 where a dust chamber 29 having an air inlet 18 is arranged below and a clean chamber 8 having an air outlet 10 is arranged above respectively by sandwiching a filter element 17, and one end of a blow-by gas/new air passage is opened in the upper surface of the clean chamber, a blow-by gas chamber 9 is formed in a space close to an upper air outlet so that the blow-by gas chamber is surrounded by a pair of ribs being integrally projected on the upper surface of the clean chamber above the air outlet and having one ends extending toward the air outlet and a rib for connecting respective other ends of a pair of these ribs to be formed so that the lower part is opened in the clean chamber, and one end of the blow-by gas/new air passage is opened on the side surface of one rib of a pair of ribs so as to be opposed to the side surface of the other rib.
