Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely bend a flanged metallic member while making the flange of the flanged metallic member such as a flanged hollow metallic extruded material made of aluminum alloy inside.
SOLUTION: In this bending method, compressive plastic deformation is applied to the flange 3 of the flanged metallic member 1 by adding compressive force in the direction cross to the longitudinal direction of the metallic member 1, then the flanged metallic member 1 is bent while making the flange side inside along the face of the flange 3.
