To prevent the blow out air temperature past a rear seat side evaporator 8 from becoming uncontrollable.
An electronic control device 45 determines that the surface of the rear seat side evaporator 8 frosts if the target air quantity of a rear seat side blower 21 is below B, the detection temperature of an evaporator blow out air temperature sensor 36 is below TEa, and the detection temperature of an outside air temperature sensor 31 is below TAMa. In this condition, TEO is increased to cause an electric motor 2a of an electric compressor 1 to be stopped. A resultant stop of refrigerant inflow into the rear seat side evaporator 8 can increase the surface temperature of the rear seat side evaporator 8 to defrost the rear seat side evaporator 8. Even if the surface of the rear seat side evaporator 8 frosts, the rear seat side evaporator 8 can be defrosted to prevent an outlet air temperature past the rear seat side evaporator 8 from becoming uncontrollable.
