To provide an air conditioner in which a driving human body detection sensor is protected.
The air conditioner includes: a front surface frame 11 composing a part of the casing of an indoor unit; a human body detection sensor 7 provided at the back of the front surface frame, and configured to be driven tin a right and left direction; a human body detection sensor protective cover 10 arrange at the front of the human body detection sensor 7 and the front surface frame 11; and a through-hole 12 formed by cutting out a part of the front surface frame 11. The air conditioner is configured such that: around the circumference of the through-hole 12, a recessed portion is provided in a location which does not fall in the detectable area of the human body detection sensor 7 even if the human body sensor 7 is driven; and the recessed portion supports the human body detection sensor protective cover 10 from the back side.
