Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an air-cooled gear transmission which is small in size and low in noise by making a fan small in size and low in noise with wind from the cooling fan efficiently made use of in the air cooled gear transmission which is so compact in structure that a transmission main body and the cooling fan are combined in an integral unit.
CONSTITUTION: The air-cooled gear transmission is provided with a fan casing 4 at the outside of a radial fan 2 directly connected to the shaft end of the input shaft 1 of a transmission main body 9, and with nose section 5 and spiral casing sections at one place or a plurality of places so as to allow ventilating sections within the case to be formed into a spiral shape each, and furthermore, the transmission is formed into a structure where the number of outlet ports 7, which is equal to the number of the nose sections 5, are provided, and wind paths are interposed between each outlet port 7 and each lubricant passage 8 with a fin provided close to the shaft end of the output shaft 1.
