In the air intake structure of an engine 6 in which an intake collector 4 is connected to an intake port of each cylinder, the intake collector 4 comprises a collector tank part 10 extending along a cylinder bank direction of the engine 6 so that its longitudinal direction corresponds to the arrangement direction, a plurality of branch parts 12 connected to the intake port extending from one side of a width direction of the collector tank part 10 and substantially in parallel with the direction substantially orthogonal to the cylinder bank direction of the engine 6, and a pipe-shaped collector neck part 14 extending from an end part of the longitudinal direction of the collector tank part 10. The collector neck part 14 is bent to be substantially U-shaped and bridging a reference centerline P which is imaginary lined in the arrangement direction of cylinders and over tops of all branch parts 12 connected to the intake port, and a throttle chamber 18 is attached to an intake upstream side end part 14a in the vicinity of the engine 6.
