Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an Al alloy sheet for negative pressure can SOT type end, excellent in can openability particularly after retorting and repairing.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy, which has a composition containing, as essential components, 1.80-2.70% Mg, 0.30-0.75% Mn, 0.10-0.60% Fe, and 0.10-0.60% Si, further containing, if necessary, one or ≥2 kinds among ≤0.40% Cr, ≤0.20% Ti, ≤0.20% Cu, and ≤0.20% Zn, and having the balance Al with inevitable impurities, is used. Moreover, when viewed from the surface of a product sheet, the space factor of Al-Fe-Mn type crystallized substances of 3-20μm and the space factor of Mg-Si type crystallized substances of 1-15μm are regulated to be 0.5-1.5% and 0.1-1.0%, respectively. An ingot of Al alloy with the above chemical composition is subjected to homogenizing heat treatment, hot-rolled, cold-rolled at ≥30%, process-annealed under the conditions of ≥100°C/min heating and cooling rate as sheet body temp., 400-570°C ultimate temp., and ≤5min holding time, and then cold-rolled at 30-80% rolling rate, thereby strength can be regulated without finish annealing.
