Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy having excellent intergranular corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: An aluminum alloy having excellent intergranular corrosion resistance has a composition comprising, in mass%, Mn: 0.8-2.0%, Cu: 0.1-1.5%, Si: 0.2-1.2%, Fe: 0.05-1.0% with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities, with the ratio between an Mn content and an Si content in the range of 1.5-3.0, and the number density of Mn intermetallic compounds as orthorhombic crystals, existing on a grain boundary after brazing heat treatment, being 3/100 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
