Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL: A compd. represented by formula I [wherein R1 are groups represented by formulae II, III, Z is Abu, Adu or Ala, E is a group having 0-2 amino acids bonded thereto by peptide formation, Q is 0 or NR, Y is CtH2t- R11 or CtH2t-R12, T is O or NR14, L is CH or N, R2, R5, R9, R10 and R14 are each H or A (A; alkyl, R3, R8 and R11 are H, A or Ar (Ar is phenyl or naphthyl), R4 is (H, OH) or (H, NH2) R6 and R7 are H, A or C(=NH)-NH2, R12 is SO3H, NH2, NHA or NA2, n is 1 or 2, m, p, r and t are 0-10 and x, y and z are 0 or 1] and its salt.

USE: This new material is useful for controlling a renin dependent hypertension or aldosteronism.

PROCESS: A functional derivative of a compd. represented by formula I is treated with a solvolysis agent or a hydrogenolyzing agent to obtain the compd. represented by formula I.
