PURPOSE: To obtain an analytical reagent capable of determining glucose-6- phosphoric acid, etc., in high sensitivity, containing nicotinamide-adenine- dinucleotide(NAD) and highly stable 6-phosphogluconic acid dehydrogenase acting specifically on this NAD.
CONSTITUTION: This analytical reagent can be obtained by combining (A) nicotinamide-adenine-dinucleotide(NAD) with (B) a 6-phosphogluconic acid dehydrogenase specifically acting on this NAD and extracted and purified from Leuconostoc lactis SHO 47 strain (FERM P-13970) or Leuconostoc lactis SHO 54 strain (FERM P-13971). This reagent can double the sensitivity of determining glucose-6-phosphoric acid or 6-phosphogluconic acid compared to the case with conventional methods, enables such determination in the visible range, and is to be used for determining 6-phosphogluconic acid or derivatives therefrom or analytical objects labeled with 6-phosphogluconic acid or a derivative therefrom.
