To obtain an anisotropic refracting power lens which is easily machined and built in by composing the lens of one lens or two cemented lenses.
This lens is a cemented lens 6 which has different horizontal refracting power and vertical refracting power in a plane crossing the optical axis at right angles, and the object-side lens 1 is a lens which has both plane surfaces and also has its refractive index n(r), represented as n2(r)=n02(1-(gr)2), at a distance (r) from the optical axis and the image-side lens 2 is a single lens which is formed out of a homogeneous medium and has a cylindrical surface convex to the image side and has its refractive index represented as n2(r)= n02(1-(gr)2). The object-side surface is a plane which is perpendicular to the optical axis and the image-side surface may be a surface which has a larger- radiation-angle section made convex to the image side and varying in curvature along a curve of large curvature with increase of the distance from the optical axis and also has small-radiation-angle section gradually increasing in curvature from the optical axis to the periphery along from a straight line along a curve that is convex to the image side when viewed from the larger-radiation-angle section.
