To provide an antenna diversity receiver which requires no conventional weighting circuit capable of preventing increase in its circuit scale and power consumption.
This receiver has a common AGC circuit which fixes the level of a received output signal corresponding to the received input signal of the highest level among N pieces of signals. The common AGC circuit includes N pieces of AGC amplifiers 5a to 5d which keep each received output level, N pieces of level detection circuit 6a to 6d which detect the levels of received output signals from the amplifiers 5a to 5d, N pieces of AGC circuits 7a to 7d which generate N pieces of AGC voltage g1 to g4 from the level detection signals outputted from the circuits 6a to 6d to control the amplification factors of the amplifiers 5a to 5d, and a maximum value detection circuit 9 which detects the AGC voltage of the highest level among N pieces of voltages and outputs the detected AGC voltage in common with the amplifiers 5a to 5d.
