Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifoulant which can efficiently prevent the production of fouling in an installation for treating a hydrocarbon, such as a crude oil-preheating apparatus system, in a small addition amount at a low treatment cost without containing an amine compound.
SOLUTION: This antifoulant comprises a 2,6-di-t-butyl-4-alkylphenol represented by the general formula [1] (R is a 2 to 4C alkyl) and 4-t-butylcatechol.
