To provide an antifouling coating composition from which an antifouling coating film excellent in long-term antifouling properties or the like can be formed.
The antifouling coating material composition contains (a) a (meth)acrylic acid metal salt-based copolymer and (b) a triphenylboron-amine complex or pyridine triphenyl boron. The (meth)acrylic acid metal salt-based copolymer (a) is obtained by copolymerizing (meth)acrylic acid metal salt (α) and another monomer (β) (except zinc (meth)acrylate or copper (meth)acrylate) copolymerizable with the (meth)acrylic acid metal salt (α). The(meth)acrylic acid metal salt (α) is any one of zinc versatate (meth)acrylate, zinc naphthenate (meth)acrylate, benzoate zinc (meth)acrylate, magnesium benzoate methacrylate, magnesium versatate acrylate, copper versatate methacrylate, copper benzoate methacrylate and copper naphthenate (meth)acrylate. There are also provided an antifouling coating film formed of the antifouling coating material composition, a ship or a submerged structure covered with the antifouling coating film and the coating method of the shell of a ship or the submerged structure.
