Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an antigenic protein useful as a diagnostic reagent for differentiating a patient which is a patient suffering from echinococcosis having an active type lesion requiring treatment from that having an already cured inactive type lesion.

CONSTITUTION: The objective specific antigenic protein is present in a crude antigen derived from Echinococcus ocularis and has 18 and 16K daltons molecular weight measured by electrophoresis of sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS)- polyacrylamide gel.
