Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new recombinant peptide useful for e.g. detecting human HPV-33 infection, by expressing in host cells an insertional body containing the genome DNA of human papilloma virus(HPV)-33 having a specific nucleoside sequence.
SOLUTION: This peptide is a new recombinant peptide coded by DNA fragments occupying the respective sequences between nucleotide ends specified by numbers as: 76-556, 543-864, 867-2811, 2728-3808, 3326-3575, 3842-4079, 4198-5611, 5516-7091, etc., of the genome DNA of human papilloma virus(HPV)-33 having a nucleotide sequence of the formula, or a DNA coding a polypeptide having immunological properties recognizable by an antibody capable of recognizing HPV-33 virus. This peptide is therefore useful for e.g. detecting human HPV-33 infection, and is obtained by expressing in host cells a DNA recombinant containing an insertional body containing the above-mentioned fragments of the genome DNA of human HPV-33 through its fusion with an exogenous DNA.
