The objective compound is a complex compound containing acesulfame and having antimicrobial activity, especially antibacterial activity. The complex compound is composed of the acesulfame and a metallic element such as zinc, copper, or silver or a nonmetallic quaternary ammonium cation such as cetylpyridinium cation.
