PURPOSE: To avert the missing of information and the generation of false static charges by using thermoplastic polymer matrix layers contg. a quaternary ammonium salt having a high charge density and specified molecular structure as a film composite.
CONSTITUTION: This film composite includes a base having the thermoplastic polymer matrix layers contg. particulates and the quaternary ammonium salt on its at least one surface and is provided with matte finish surfaces or writing type surfaces by these matrix layers. The cations of the quaternary ammonium salt are constituted to have concn. sufficient for affording the surface specific resistance of the matrix layers of about ≤1×1013ohm/square at relative humidity of 50% and have the charge density of 3.33×10-3 to 13.6×10-3. The quaternary ammonium salt having such a high charge density and the specified molecular structure imparts unexpectedly advantageous and effective antistatic characteristics to the single layer matte writing type surfaces without acting an unfavorable effect on writing quality and image formability.
