Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for converting carrying direction of a rod member, corresponding to speed-up of mechanical speed, capable of preventing the occurrence of noise, compacting whole apparatus and simply corresponding to change in size of the rod member.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is provided with a feed-out route L1 for feeding out a cigarette Tw to the shaft direction, a catcher drum 2 having plural carrying grooves 4 arranged so as to enable the cigarette fed out from the feed-out route to receive and carrying cigarette received on each carrying groove to lateral direction crossing with the feed out route, the first and second rotators 12 and 14 where their circumferential faces are opposed each other while sandwiching the feed out route and mutually reversely rotating their opposed circumferential faces so as to move to feed out direction of the cigarette, a diameter-enlarging part 24 formed by gradually enlarging from the first circumferential face 22 and a diameter-reducing part 35 formed by making the diameter smaller than the second circumferential face 34.
