Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for directly decorticating plants rich in long fibers in a field, by continuously disposing devices for feeding, treating and discharging the plants, respectively, and a motor for rotating plural pairs of the working cylinders and the delivery roller, and treating and crushing the reaped plants as such in the field to extract the bark fibers. CONSTITUTION: Plants are reaped in a field, bundled, fed into a feeding hopper 5, crushed with a grooved cylinder 6 having sixteen teeth, further crushed and bark-opened with a grooved cylinder 7 having eighteen teeth, crushed with a grooved cylinder 8 having twenty two teeth, subjected to the separation of fiber portions from the bark portions by the use of a cleaning cylinder 9, and subsequently passed through two twenty two teeth-having grooved cylinders 11, 12 and two cleaning cylinders 13, 14 which are alternately disposed. The treated plants comprising only the barks are supported on a delivery roller 15 and then released on both the sides of a slider device 16 for discharge.
