Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for forming an opening in a film carrier tape for mounting an electronic component which surely presses the carrier tape without deforming it even if it is formed thin or wide, and thereby carries the film carrier tape in a straightforward position and eventually can form an opening accurately in a correct position of the film carrier tape.
SOLUTION: A long guide plate 56 which is so installed that its position can be adjusted is directly abutted against the film carrier tape 20 to press the film carrier tape 20 against a face of the guide plate 56. Consequently, the movement of the film carrier tape 20 in the widthwise direction can be regulated.
