PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishpass and a construction method of the fishpass allowing fishes and shellfishes to easily go upstream and move while suppressing the formation of a holm in the downstream region of the fishpass. SOLUTION: In this fishpass, a river structure 11 of rectangular, U-shaped or C-shaped cross section having a recess 14 with groin rugged parts 14a, 14b formed on the inner surface is installed in a river or the like to connect the high side and the low side of a stepped part, and a part or the whole of the fishpass 10 is integrally fixed to the wall surface downstream of the river or the like so that an opening 12 is formed on the side face side. The fishpass includes a gutter-like structure disposed to open downstream of the completed river structure and integrally fixed by after-fitting construction.
