Abstract:
To provide an apparatus for manufacturing an electro-optical device which improves the yield in manufacturing a liquid crystal panel used for the electro-optical device and prevents product defects, and a pressure head used for the same and its manufacturing method.
In the pressure head 4 used for the apparatus 50 for manufacturing the electro-optical device in which internal surfaces of both substrates 1 and 2 are oppositely arranged to each other across a sealing material 3 and both substrates 1 and 2 are adhered by pressing to have internal space (cell gap), a plurality of uneven parts or projection parts are formed on a substrate abutting surface 4a of the pressure head 4 which presses the external surface of at least one substrate.
