Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for measuring tension of metallic strip such as steel band, etc.
CONSTITUTION: Two deflector rolls 2, 3 for guiding a metallic strip 1, a sensing roll 4 arranged between the deflector rolls 2 and 3 and freely inclined via a supporting arm 15, and a load cell 6 for detecting downward load of the metallic strip 1 to the sensing roll 4 are integrally incorporated in a unit base 10 of the apparatus. Accordingly, accuracy when tension of the metallic strip 1 is measured can be enhanced.
