Abstract:
To provide an apparatus and method for manufacturing a fiber reinforced resin molded article, capable of maintaining initial fiber lengths by suppressing breakage of fibers.
A molding apparatus 1 for molding a fiber reinforced resin molded article comprises: a heating conveying device 50 preliminarily heating resin pellets P and fibers F as molding raw materials; and an injection machine 30 having a transfer unit 30A comprising a cylinder 31 and a screw 32 and a supply port 310 common to the resin pellets P and the fibers F, for supplying the raw materials to the transfer unit 30A.
