Abstract:
To provide an apparatus for modifying coal which can greatly save labor, cost and time required for treatment for inhibiting spontaneous ignition of coal.
The apparatus 100 for modifying coal includes: a drying unit 111 for drying low-quality coal 1; a briquetter 114 for compression molding the dried low-quality coal 1; a hydration vessel 116, a mesh conveyor 117 and the like for hydrating a compression-molded coal briquette 2 with water 101 that is in a liquid state; and a mesh conveyor 122, a ventilation hood 123 and the like for oxidizing the hydrated coal briquette 2 with air 102.
