Title:
APPARATUS FOR PASSING OPTICAL FIBER CABLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3432494
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an optical fiber cable from twisting and breaking by sending the cable intermittently into a pipe, and to enable the easy insertion or drawing out of the cable through a part (notched groove) where a load is not applied.
SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a pair of clamping rollers 10 and 10' which clamps an optical fiber cable A and send it into a pipe B. The clamping rollers are energized by a energizing means 17 in a clamped state. A part (peripheral surface) 20 where a load is applied on the optical fiber cable and a part on its peripheral surface (notched groove) 21 where the load is not applied to the optical fiber cable at at least one or more places are formed at either of the clamping rollers. The optical fiber cable is intermittently clamped and sent out by the action between the part where the load is applied by the turning of the clamping rollers and the part where the load is not applied.
