To provide an apparatus for planting and greening wall surfaces, capable of improving environmental conditions in the cities by effect of plants reducing rise of temperature by greening spaces in vertical directions, e.g. wall surfaces of buildings, and houses, wall surfaces of fences, rooftops of condominium buildings, fences of verandas, wall surface of the other constructs in multi-stage state by planting of plants.

In the apparatus for planting and greening the wall surfaces, shelves 2 for greening are arranged on multi-stage in lattice-shaped or wire net-shaped base frames 1 and water-proof greening containers 3 are placed and fixed on these shelves 2 for greening and greening bases 4 such as soil or soil alternatives, fertilizer, charcoal and soil-improving materials are housed in these water-proof greening containers 3 and lattice-shaped or wire net-shaped intermediate partition bodies are embedded in the intermediates of greening bases 4 housed in these water-proof greening containers 3 and grasses and/or trees are planted on greening bases 4 so as to green these plants in multi-stage in vertical direction along base frames 1.
