Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable upright suction belts for guiding either a material web or a cut blank to be ascended or descended, enable either the material web or the blank to be forcedly and accurately guided and further improve a possibility of changing format.
CONSTITUTION: A material web 13 is guided to a knife roller 20 provided with a suction hole 41 by a set of traction rollers 23, 24, and cut into a blank 12 by a cutter knife 21 and its opposing knife 22. The blank 12 is displaced from the knife roller 20 by a transferring roller 39 and further supplied to upright suction belts 25, 26. A group 14 of packs for the packaged items is transferred over a truck 17 between the two suction belts 25, 26, the blank 12 is separated from the suction belts 26, 26 and bent around the pack group 14. Further, since the suction belts 25, 26 are constituted such that they can be ascended or descended against either the knife roller 20 or the transferring roller 39 as one unit when the format is changed, the format can be replaced in a large scale.
