Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably carry out the operation over a long period when repeating the start and stop and perform the start of an apparatus for purifying hydrogen in a short time in the apparatus for purifying the hydrogen capable of reducing the CO concentration in a reformed gas containing at least hydrogen, the CO and steam by a CO conversion reaction.
SOLUTION: This apparatus for purifying hydrogen is equipped with a feeding part for a reformed gas containing at least hydrogen gas, carbon monoxide and steam and a reactional chamber located on the downstream side of the feeding part for the reformed gas and provided with a carbon monoxide conversion catalyst material. The carbon monoxide conversion catalyst material is prepared by supporting Pt on a carrier comprising at least one kind of a metal oxide and/or a compound metal oxide having ≥10 m2/g BET specific surface area.
