PURPOSE: To enable the pick finding of a thread end to be done surely by locking through a push and press a swing arresting lever under the condition of a rewinding package being struck and contacted with a suction mouth, and then maintaining the suction mouth at a position pulled minutely apart from the package by means of a plate cam through the swing arresting lever.

CONSTITUTION: A swing arresting lever 4 is penetratingly provided within the swing locus of a suction mouth 1. The swing arresting lever 4 and a lock lever 7 are fixed at a base portion 6 which is rotatable against a shaft 5, and the tip surface 8 of the lock lever 7 is formed into a circular shape with the shaft 5 as the center of revolution. The circular surface 8 is struck and contacted with one arm portion 9a of a swing arm 9 shaped approximately into an L letter and is made to be swingable. The other arm portion 9b is struck and contacted with a plate cam 12. When the suction opening 19 of the suction lever 1 strikes and contacts a package 3, the lever, too, is made to turn, and the plate cam 12 is made to revolve, and the lever 4 is made to come into the state of being locked due to the strike and contact of an inclined surface 14 and the arm 9b. Then, the suction opening 19 is minutely pulled apart by the revolution of the plate cam 12 through the push and press of the arresting lever 4.
