To obtain a one-component composition which can be prepared as an aqueous dispersion, can form a high-strength vulcanized film in a short time at a relatively low temperature, and has a long pot life by compounding an aqueous fluororubber dispersion with a basic polyol vulcanizing agent.
A basic polyol used here is a salt of a polyol having a phenyl group and at least two hydroxyl groups with ammonia and/or a salt of the polyol with a tertiary amine. Among such salts, a salt of hydroquinone, bisphenol A, bisphenol AF, or a resol phenol resin is preferable. An aqueous fluororubber dispersion is prepared by dispersing an elastomeric fluorocopolymer containing repeating units represented by -CH2- in the main chain in water in a concentration of 10-75 wt.% by using a surfactant. The basic polyol vulcanizing agent is compounded usually in an amount of 0.1-10 pts.wt. into 100 pts.wt. fluororubber.
